    Having trained as a journalist, I came to specialise in food writing and my 19th cookbook, A Taste of Scotland's Islands, is published in August I branched into fiction some years ago and now my 3rd novel - Down To the Sea - is out in , and my 4th - The Unreliable Death of Lady Grange - is to be published in I prefer chaired events where I can talk about the themes in my novels.
